2023 7th International Conference on Mechanics, Mathematics and Applied Physics (ICMMAP 2023) successfully held in Dalian

On September 8-10, 2023, the 7th International Conference on Mechanics, Mathematics and Applied Physics (ICMMAP 2023) took place in Bincheng, Dalian. This event was hosted by Dalian Jiaotong University, organized by the School of Science and School of Automation and Electrical Engineering of Dalian Jiaotong University, and co-organized by the AEIC Academic Exchange Information Center.

Experts from more than 50 worldwide universities and research institutes, including Harbin Institute of Technology, Dalian University of Technology, Sichuan University, National University of Defense Technology, Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology, Chongqing University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Dalian Maritime University, Çankaya University in Turkey, University of Science and Technology Liaoning, General Engineering Institute of China Academy of Engineering Physics, Systems Engineering Institute of Academy of Military Sciences, Institute of Physical and Chemical Engineering of Nuclear Industry, and Xi’an Modern Chemistry Research Institute, attended the conference in person. The event featured nearly 30 presentations, with experts and scholars engaging in lively discussions through keynote speeches, invited talks, young scholar presentations, poster displays, and other interactive formats.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. Liwei Liu, Dean of the School of Science, Dalian Jiaotong University, while Prof. Shengfang Zhang, Vice President of Dalian Jiaotong University, delivered the opening speech. President Zhang introduced that Dalian Jiaotong University is the sole institution in Northeast China featuring rail transit education and is a first-class discipline key construction university in Liaoning Province. He also highlighted that this conference aimed to build a high-level and open international academic exchange platform, jointly advance the development of mechanics, mathematics, and physics, and make significant contributions to the integration of education, science, and technology talents, as well as to the advancement of Chinese modernization.

Keynote speeches on subjects such as mechanics, mathematics, physics, and biological information algorithms were delivered by a total of 10 experts, including Prof. Zhenxin Liu, Dean of School of Mathematical Sciences, Dalian University of Technology; Prof. Chongjun Li, Deputy Dean of School of Mathematical Sciences, Dalian University of Technology; Prof. Erdal Karapińar, Çankaya University, Turkey; Assoc. Prof. Anum Shafiq, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology; Prof. Yidong Sun, Dean of School of Science, Dalian Maritime University; Prof. Jie Shen, Dean of School of Mathematics, Liaoning Normal University; Prof. Qi Zhao, University of Science and Technology Liaoning; Prof. Chengde Zheng, Dalian Jiaotong University; Prof. Qiwen Xue, Deputy Dean of School of Civil Engineering, Dalian Jiaotong University; and Assoc. Prof. Jujuan Zhuang, Dalian Maritime University. Participated experts exchanged the latest research achievements and experiences in depth and shared their unique insights into discipline innovation and development.

In the afternoon, a total of 17 young scholars and graduate students gave special academic presentations at the branch venue, exhibiting their research achievements and vitality.

The International Conference on Mechanics, Mathematics and Applied Physics (ICMMAP) has convened annually since 2017, with successful events held in various cities including Hohhot, Zhuhai, Guilin, Lanzhou, Nanjing, and Qingdao. Its purpose is to explore new ideas and methods of science research, provide a solid research foundation for related disciplines, and cultivate discipline talents.

This conference was a resounding success, with renowned experts in the field collaborating to enhance the discipline’s development and influence in mechanics, mathematics and applied physics. This accomplishment holds great importance in disseminating cutting-edge information across disciplines and industries, fostering the transformation of scientific and technological advancements, and consolidating academic achievements of industries.

        2023年9月8-10日，由大连交通大学主办，大连交通大学理学院、大连交通大学自动化与电气学院承办，AEIC学术交流中心协办的第七届力学、数学与应用物理学国际会议（ICMMAP 2023）在滨城大连成功举办。

        来自哈尔滨工业大学、大连理工大学、四川大学、国防科技大学、南京信息工程大学、重庆大学、南京理工大学、大连海事大学、土耳其詹卡亚大学、辽宁科技大学、中国工程物理研究院总体工程所、军事科学院系统工程研究院、核工业理化工程研究院、西安近代化学研究所等50余所中外高校、科研院所的专家学者现场参加会议。大会进行了近30场报告，通过主旨报告、特邀报告和青年学者口头报告、海报展示等多形式研讨，专家学者充分碰撞交流。

        开幕式由大连交通大学理学院院长刘立伟教授主持，大连交通大学副校长张生芳教授作开幕式致辞。张校长介绍到大连交通大学是东北地区唯一一所以轨道交通为特色的高等学校，是辽宁省一流学科重点建设高校；并指出召开本届大会旨在搭建高水平、开放式国际学术交流平台，共同推动力学、数学、物理学科的高质量发展，为教育科技人才一体化推进中国式现代化发展做出更大贡献。

        大连理工大学数学科学学院院长柳振鑫教授、大连理工大学数学科学学院副院长李崇君教授、土耳其詹卡亚大学Erdal Karapńar教授、南京信息工程大学Anum Shafiq副教授、大连海事大学理学院院长孙怡东教授、辽宁师范大学数学学院院长沈洁教授、辽宁科技大学赵琪教授、大连交通大学郑成德教授、大连交通大学远交大交通学院院长薛齐文教授、大连海事大学庄举娟副教授共10位专家学者围绕力学、数学、物理、生物信息算法等学科主题进行了专题报告。与会专家深入交流了相关最新研究成果和经验，分享了对学科创新发展的独到见解。

        下午共有17位与会青年学者、研究生进行分会场专题学术报告，展示了青年学者的科研成果和活力风采。

        力学、数学与应用物理学国际会议（ICMMAP）由2017年起每年举办，已在呼和浩特、珠海、桂林、兰州、南京、青岛等多地成功召开，其宗旨是研讨理学研究的新思路、新方法，为相关学科提供扎实的基础研究及培育学科人才。

本届大会成功举行，领域内知名专家共同努力促进力学、数学和应用物理学的学科建设和影响力，对于传播学科及行业前沿信息、促进科技成果转化、凝练行业学术成果等具有重要意义。
