Prof. Boris Melnikov

Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, China

Boris Melnikov is a professor at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University and a scholar with deep academic achievements in the field of computational mathematics and cybernetics. Prof. Boris Melnikov graduated from the Department of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of the Moscow Lomonosov State University with a B.S. degree in Computer Science in 1984. Subsequently, he continued his studies at the Moscow Lomonosov State University and received his doctoral degree (PhD) in Physics and Mathematics in 1990, with his doctoral dissertation titled “Methods for the study of infinite iterated words”, supervised by Prof. Larisa Staneviciene; in 1997, he received his Russian Doctoral degree, also in Physics and Mathematics, with his doctoral dissertation titled “Application of the properties of special monoids in the theory of formal languages”. In 2002, he received the Russian academic title of professor. Since September 2018, Prof. Boris Melnikov has held a professorship in the Department of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics at Beili Moscow University in Shenzhen, China. Prof. Boris Melnikov’s research interests are focused on the areas of computational mathematics, cybernetics, and formal language theory. He has achieved significant research results in these areas and has published several academic papers. He has conducted academic exchanges as a visiting professor at several renowned universities in Europe (including 3 times in ETH-Zürich) and has given many lectures at international conferences. He also serves as a professor at the Department of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics, Lomonosov Moscow State University, and has held positions at a number of universities, including Moscow Lomonosov State University, Russian State Social University, Samara State University, and Togliatti State University.

Prof. Anum Shafiq

IT4Innovations, VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic

Prof. Anum Shafiq is currently working as a senior researcher in IT4Innovations, VSB -Technical University of Ostrava, Ostrava on 23 September 2024. She has been included in the top 2% of Scientists for consecutive three years (2022; 2023; 2024). She was an Associate Professor at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, China. She received her Ph.D. in 2016 from Quaid-I-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan. She has worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, in prestigious universities of Pakistan for three years. After that, she did postdoctoral research at North West University, South Africa. Her research is mostly focused on numerical methods for boundary value problems, implementation of computational techniques based on traditional and heuristic paradigms, Newtonian and non-Newtonian nanofluids flow and microorganisms, Statistics, Distribution theory, Multidisciplinary applications of Mathematics, etc. She is the winner of several awards and scholarships. She is an editorial board member of some reputed journals and has published more than 175 research papers in SCI-indexed journals with a research h-index of over 51 and citations of over 6827. She is a potential reviewer of top-ranking research journals. Dr. Shafiq acts as a resource person and gives invited talks at many workshops and conferences held at the national and international levels.

Prof. Chao Zhang

Dalian University of Technology

Chao Zhang received the B.S. degree of Applied Mathematics and the Ph.D. degrees of Computational Mathematics from Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, China, in 2004 and 2009 respectively. He is currently a Professor with the School of Mathematical Sciences, Dalian University of Technology, China. His research interests include machine learning, learning theory and digital twins, and the relevant works have been published at several prestigious journals and prominent conferences such as IEEE T-NNLS, IEEE TIT, IEEE IoT J, JMLR, MSSP, NIPS, UAI and AISTATS.

Assoc. Prof. Xiaonan Zhang

Dalian Jiaotong University, China

Assoc. Prof. Xiaonan Zhang, who holds a Ph.D. in Science, serves as a supervisor for master’s students. Her primary area of research centers on the interaction between ion beams and materials, with a specific emphasis on investigating the irradiation damage and synergistic effects of H and He ion beams in amorphous alloys and amorphous composites. To date, she has authored over 20 academic papers on these topics.

Prof. Guohua Huang

Hunan University of Finance and Economics

Dr. Guohua Huang, a Level-III Professor, is currently the Dean of the School of Information Technology and Management at Hunan University of Finance and Economics. He has been honored as part of Hunan Province’s “121” Innovative Talent Program and recognized as an Outstanding Young Teacher at Hunan Provincial Colleges and Universities. As the leader of the National First-Class Major in Computer Science and Technology and the discipline leader for Computer Science and Technology within Hunan’s “13th Five-Year Plan” and “14th Five-Year Plan” Application-Oriented Disciplines, Dr. Huang has authored over 70 papers, which have been cited more than 1,000 times. He has directed 2 General Programs funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 2 projects funded by the Hunan Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and 2 Key Research Projects sponsored by the Hunan Provincial Department of Education. Furthermore, he has received the Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Award, ranking first. He serves on the editorial boards of BMC Bioinformatics, Current Bioinformatics, and Journal of Data Science and Intelligent Systems, acting as a reviewer for 50 journals, including IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, IEEE Transactions on NanoBioscience, Bioinformatics, and Briefings in Bioinformatics. Dr. Huang is also an evaluation expert for National Key Research and Development Programs, NSFC, Hunan/Sichuan/Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Foundations, and the Hunan Science and Technology Innovation Leadership Plan. Additionally, he holds executive positions within the Bioinformatics Professional Committee of the China Computer Federation, the Intelligent Health and Bioinformatics Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Automation, and the Big Data Professional Committee of the China Computer Federation.

Prof. Yijia Zhang

Dalian Maritime University

Prof. Yijia Zhang, a Ph.D. supervisor affiliated with the School of Information Science and Technology at Dalian Maritime University, has a long-standing commitment to research in natural language processing (NLP) and biomedical text mining. He holds memberships in the Bioinformatics Special Committee Group of the China Computer Federation, as well as in the Emotion Computing, Healthcare and Bioinformatics, and Social Media Processing Special Committee Groups of the Chinese Information Processing Society of China. With over 100 publications in prestigious international academic journals and conferences, including Nature sub-journals and IEEE/ACM Transactions, Prof. Zhang has been recognized for his contributions, receiving the Third Prize of the Liaoning Natural Science Award and the Second Prize of the Liaoning Natural Science Academic Achievement Award (Academic Paper Category). Additionally, he has been honored with Best Paper awards at numerous domestic and international academic conferences as the corresponding author.

Prof. Xing Chen

Jiangnan University

Xing Chen is a Level-III Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at Jiangnan University (directly promoted to these positions at age 31). He was consecutively recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate Analytics for five years (2019-2023) and as a Highly Cited Chinese Researcher by Elsevier for four years (2020-2023). He has been included in Stanford University’s list of the World’s Top 2% Scientists with a “Lifetime Scientific Impact” and among the top 100,000 scientists globally for multiple consecutive years. Prof. Chen is a recipient of the Jiangsu Province’s “333 High-Level Talents Cultivation Program” and the “Six Talents Peaks” Program, and he serves as an evaluation expert for the Ministry of Education’s discipline assessments. He holds positions including Deputy Director of the Bioinformatics Society of Jiangsu Province, Secretary-General of the Mathematical Biosciences Committee of the China Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, Distinguished Member of the China Computer Federation, Standing Committee Member of the Multi-omics and Integrative Biology Professional Committee of the China Bioinformatics Society, Deputy Director of the Bioinformatics Professional Committee of the Jiangsu Society of Biomedical Engineering, and Core Member of a Jiangsu Province “Double Innovation” Team. Prof. Chen is the Executive Editor of Briefings in Bioinformatics (a top-tier journal of the Chinese Academy of Sciences) and Associate Editor of four SCI journals, including IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, and a member of the editorial board for ten SCI journals, including Computers in Biology and Medicine (both top-tier journals of the Chinese Academy of Sciences), as well as Guest Associate Editor of PLoS Computational Biology. He has authored or co-authored over 100 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author, with a total citation count exceeding 15,000. Among these, 11 papers are listed in the latest ESI Highly Cited Papers, and 28 were previously recognized. His H-index stands at 61. Prof. Chen has received numerous honors, including the Second Prize in Natural Science Award from the Ministry of Education’s Higher Education Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Awards (ranked 3rd), the Third Prize in Science and Technology Award from Jiangsu Province (ranked 1st), the Second Prize in Natural Science Award from the Chinese Association of Automation (ranked 1st), the Automation and Artificial Intelligence Innovation Team Award from the Chinese Association of Automation (ranked 2nd), the First Prize in Education and Research Achievements Award from Jiangsu Province (ranked 1st), and the Second Prize in Science and Technology Research Achievements Award from Jiangsu Universities (ranked 1st). He has spearheaded projects funded by the Major Research Plan of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, General Programs (two projects), Youth Fund, and Jiangsu Province High-Level Talent Projects.

Prof. Liwei Liu

Dalian Jiaotong University, China

Liwei Liu, Professor, Doctor of Science, Master’s Degree Supervisor. He is currently serving as President of Extra-Party Intellectuals Association, Dalian Jiaotong University, Vice President of Dalian Mathematical Society, Expert of Assessment and Monitoring of Degree and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education, and Expert of High-tech Enterprises Assessment in Dalian. He is mainly engaged in bioinformatics research, specifically in protein target prediction, circRNA-protein interaction prediction, etc. He has published more than 30 academic papers.

Assoc. Prof. Hongxia Wang

Shandong University of Science and Technology

Hongxia Wang, an associate professor at Shandong University of Science and Technology, specializes in the research of stochastic systems, time-delay systems, optimal control, robust control, reinforcement learning, and optimization algorithms, among other related fields. She has led a subproject of a key National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) project, an individual NSFC project, three provincial natural science foundation projects, and three horizontal projects. Additionally, she has played a pivotal role in three key national and provincial projects. Professor Wang has authored over 40 SCI-indexed academic papers, seven of which have been published in prestigious journals such as IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, Automatica, and SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization. She also serves as a council member and deputy secretary-general of the Shandong Automation Society, a committee member of the TCCT Stochastic Systems and Control Study Group, and an invited member of the Automation Society’s Full Drive System Theory and Application Professional Committee.

Prof. Lei Wang

Dalian University of Technology

Prof. Lei Wang, a supervisor of PhD candidates, holds several esteemed positions, including Council Member of the Operations Research Society of China (ORSC), Executive Council Member of the ORSC’s Mathematical Programming Branch, Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory for Computational Mathematics and Data Intelligence of Liaoning Province, and Council Member of the Mathematical Society of Liaoning Province. Currently, he serves as Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office and Director of the Center for General and Basic Education at Dalian University of Technology. Between 2020 and 2023, he was appointed Dean of the College of Science at Shihezi University, a role he fulfilled as part of the 10th batch of aid personnel dispatched to Xinjiang by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee. Professor Wang’s current research focuses on optimal control theory, optimization algorithms, and their practical applications in solving engineering challenges related to complex systems such as unmanned equipment and aerospace engines. Over the past few years, he has led and contributed to numerous projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), including major initiatives and technology projects commissioned by various enterprises and institutions. His contributions have been recognized through the Third Prize of the Liaoning Science and Technology Award and the Second Prize of the Liaoning Natural Science Academic Achievement Award (Academic Works Category). Professor Wang has authored over 60 high-impact academic papers, three of which have been highly cited in ESI, with a cumulative citation count of over 700 on Google Scholar. Additionally, he holds more than 10 authorized Chinese invention patents.

Shuguang Li, associate professor at Dalian Maritime University, master's supervisor, member of the Computer Mathematics Committee of the Chinese Mathematical Society, mainly engaged in computational mathematics, multi-scale modeling and other research. He graduated from Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Russia, and was selected for the Dalian Overseas High-level Returned Talents. He presided over 1 postdoctoral science fund, 1 Liaoning Provincial Natural Science Foundation, 1 Liaoning Provincial Education Department Basic Research Fund, and participated in 1 National Natural Science Foundation.
